Restoring a Vintage Dunlop GCB-95 Cry Baby Wha Wha

One of my friends recently gave me an old Dunlop Cry Baby, it needs some servicing before it screams again so it’s Wah Wah time.

Even if it’s still working, it looks dirty and it makes noise when playing it.

Let’s open it and see how it looks like inside the box.

The axe of the potentiometer is really dirty and there is no more grease on it, that’s why it makes this mechanical noise.

The circuit board is in good condition so i will only replace the two blue electrolytic capacitors.

It looks nice after cleaning and painting the box in brown chocolate.

Now it screams again.
