All versions of Cubase share the same pristine sound quality and ease of use that make Cubase one of the world’s most popular recording and production solutions, Cubase AI is the Free version of Cubase 10 that you can download after buying a Steinberg or a Yamaha audio interface…
Until recently i was making music with Cubase SX2 which is still working well even if it’s getting old, as i had a registration code after purchasing a Yamaha AG06 audio interface, i said to myself that i should give it a try…
At first i was thinking that it was something like a demo version or a basic version but it’s not the case, it comes with 28 VST effects plugins, 2 VST instruments and many of the features needed in audio projects, add some free VST Instruments and Effects and you’re ready for your next song…
- 64 Bit audio engine and 192 kHz audio resolution.
- 32 audio tracks and 48 MIDI tracks.
- 16 VST Instrument tracks and 2 VST Instruments (HALion Sonic SE 3 and Groove Agent SE 5 basic sets) over 185 instrument sounds, 8 Rack instruments.
- 16 Physical inputs & outputs, 4 Audio channel insert slots, 8 Group channels, 4 FX send and 4 FX return channels.
What i like:
The 64 Bit/192 KHz audio resolution and the sound quality, the features for a free version of a great sofware and the upgrades you can get at a special price, after a few weeks of use i made an upgrade to Cubase Elements and i won’t go back to Cubase SX2 !!!
What i Don’t like:
Cubase 10 does not support 32-bit plug-ins, minimum system requirements: 64-bit Windows 10 Version 1903 and 64-bit Windows 10 Version 1809 but is that really a problem ?
